The U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and financial literacy nonprofit Operation HOPE (HOPE) announced today a collaboration that will encourage businesses to help their employees prepare before an emergency or disaster. This preparedness will allow businesses to recover in the shortest time possible as their employees become available to return to work.
Through the strategic Memorandum of Understanding, the Jaycees and HOPE will provide access to an Emergency Financial First Aid Kit (EFFAK) and Personal Disaster Preparedness Guide (PDPG), making them available to employees of business in the 38 U.S. cities with Jaycees chapters.
Collaboratively, both organizations will concurrently promote Citizen Corps preparedness and recovery ideals and volunteer opportunities. These efforts will also include Jaycees members becoming volunteer HOPE Corps members and conducting preparedness & recovery seminars in their communities.
